Taichung

Taichung is Taiwan's third largest city, with almost one million people. It is the gateway to central Taiwan.

Rob & Holly Branch

Rob and Holly are members of World Team. They are working in Taiwan under OMF leadership, with the goal of planting working-class churches.

They have recently started a ministry that will target Vietnamese brides who have been brought into the country by Taiwanese working-class men.

David & Lucy Eastwood

David is from England, and Lucy comes from Taichung, Taiwan. They have one daughter, Naomi.

They are currently in the UK but when they return to Taiwan in 2009 they will begin evangelism in the Taiping area south of Taichung. This is a needy working class community.

Beate Harr

Beate comes from Germany. She is working with Campus Evangelical Fellowship in high schools. They use school social clubs to reach out in creative ways.

Beate is also connecting with Christian teachers in the area through teachers fellowships and seminars for teachers.

Timothy & Jennifer McCracken

Tim and Jennifer are members of World Team. They have recently moved to Taichung and are getting involved in a number of ministries including outreach to Vietnamese brides and their families. Jennifer also uses her artistic skills to draw comics and other pictures for evangelism.

Charissa Mak

Charissa comes from Australia. She is studying Taiwanese in preparation for working class evangelism and church planting.

David & Judy Newquist

David and Judy live and work at Tunghai Christian University. David is a physics lecturer. He has challenged many students to consider the claims of Christianity through his course on the relationship between science and religion. Together David and Judy are involved in a student fellowship, lead a small group and provide counseling and care for many students. Their children Jonathan and Jeannie are now both living in the U.S.

Martin & Angela Symonds

Martin & Angela came to Taiwan with OMF in 1975. For the first 20 years, Martin helped new missionaries to Taiwan learn Chinese as well as handling the financial administration of OMF Taiwan. In the past few years, his major focus has been on China, where he works with others to see that good language schools are established there for Christian professionals.

Angela works with Campus Evangelical Fellowship. She is based in Chung Hsing University in Taichung where she acts as advisor to the university’s Christian Union.

Andy & Mei Ling Wilson

Andy & Mei Ling are serving with a developing church planting and missions movement based in Taichung.

Andy is from Newcastle-upon-Tyne in England. Mei Ling is Taiwanese. They have two children, Iain and Joy.
