Prayer Point

Pray for peace for Myanmar, for a good and just government. "I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everything— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and come to a knowledge of the truth." (1 Tim 2:1-4)

Focus: Praying for the Tibetans

Tibetans - the mysterious people who live on the 'roof of the world' are mainly scattered around the West corridor of China. There are also many who reside in Bhutan, Nepal, Northern India and in western countries. Tibetans are born Tibetan Buddhists, a religion which is a product of Bonism, Tantric religion and Buddhism. This people’s history, political development and religion are so closely knit that it is almost impossible to talk about one without involving the other.

OMF works among two of the three major Tibetan sub-tribes – the Amdos and the Khams. Reaching the Central Tibetans, better known as Lhasa Tibetans, proves to be a harder task due to their climate, altitude and spiritual resistance. Join us in prayer for the Tibetans, among which believers number only a handful out of several millions.
