  • To provide a programming resource to OMF projects, e.g. the Finance System & Personnel System.
  • Period of post is Minimum 1 year, 2 years desirable, renewable
  • Based at OMF International Headquarters in Singapore. During implementation phase of projects, some travel to predominantly Asian destinations will be required.
  • Fluent in SQL, VB.net, ASP and a Microsoft Certified Professional.

2. Positions open for OMF's IPS - Connecting People project:

Seeking Christian professionals to release their skills for mission in short, medium and long term job roles. A key aspect of the roles is Business as Mission with Cambodian IT professionals. There are a number of vacancies in the following areas:

i) SAP HCM Configurers and developers with experience in some of the following:

· Personnel Administration (PA)
· Organization Management (OM)
· Employee Self-Service
· Portal
· e-Recruiting
· eLearning
· Configuration
· ABAP, Netweaver
. SAP BI / BW and reporting

ii) SAP Basis; Infrastructure & Network Security Specialist

iii) Trainers - User guide, eLearning and training delivery

iv) Quality & test manager with experience in business & IT solutions

v) Personnel Manager / Administrator with SAP implementation experience

Volunteer short term (ServeAsia) stints from experienced SAP professionals for a period of 1-3 months are also welcomed.

The vacancies are medium term associate positions available for 1-3 years located in Singapore and / or Cambodia starting Jan 2008. (Some of the roles will be located in Singapore with travel to Cambodia. Other roles will start in Singapore for 6 months and then transfer to Cambodia (Phnom Penh) after an initial 6 months. There is some flexibility here.) US and UK positions are open too as the project moves from design into delivery phases.

IPS Project Summary:

The international personnel system (IPS) – 'Connecting People' project is a new initiative to ensure that OMF is able to best manage its most important resource to serve God in the most effective manner. Unlike a traditional personnel system, the focus is more on relationships with people in and outside the organisation. It includes:

  • Relationship management – Between mobilizers and members with supporters. Planning campaigns, events and communications.
  • Personnel Administration and Organisation Management – Supports the key information needs and people processes of the organisation.
  • Candidate selection – Facilitating a global selection process in an efficient and effective manner.
    Developing the members – Qualification catalogues and eLearning portal and tools for developing the membership. Review processes for assessing time on the field.
  • Caring for the members – Schools database and review processes for children.
  • Communications, reporting and security – These underpin the above areas.

This project will deliver a single solution to 26 countries and about 2500 users.

3. IPS Organisation Coordinator

Location: OMF International Headquarters, Singapore

OMF aims to glorify God by providing an international personnel system (IPS) that facilitates the key people processes and information needs of the organisation. The IPS Organisation Coordinator will be accountable to the International Director of Personnel.

Major Responsibilities:

1. Communicate with leaders and personnel managers across the Fellowship regarding all changes to the organisational structure.

2. Work with leaders of each centre on a monthly basis to review vacancies and organisational structures.

3. Work with leaders in defining major changes to their organisation chart and reporting structures.

4. Training of key administrators throughout the organisation in both SAP personnel administration, organisation management and the support processes.

 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Committed Christian
  • Has a personal call to support cross-cultural mission in Asia
  • Ability to work in a focused, process–oriented fashion
  • High orientation to detail
  • Communications competency: Able to effectively communicate via both written and spoken word; Able to inspire confidence in key administrators and encourage them in their roles; Good presentation skills; Competent in the use of: Outlook, Skype, Telecoms
  • Coordination and liaison skills: Ability to structure and prioritise work; Able to present a clear status report; Able to escalate issues in a timely and appropriate fashion; Ability to work with other administration teams to ensure that changes to the organisation structure are fully communicated and understood.
  • Technical skills: Good understanding and experience with MS Office applications such as Excel, Word, Power point and Outlook; Confident and quick learner of IT applications
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of the principles of SAP

4. CIO/IT Facilitator

Based in OMF International Headquarters based in Singapore.

The Chief Information Officer (CIO), who will report to the International Director for Finance and Administration, will lead and manage the process of determining the information resource strategies, priorities and projects that will best achieve the Fellowship’s strategic objectives.

In tandem, The CIO will play a critical role in ensuring that the technology direction, infrastructure, service operations and budget management - truly enable the Fellowship’s mission to be accomplished in a manner that is both efficient and effective, and represent God-honoring stewardship of resources He supplies.

The incumbent should see this position as a high calling from God to serve in missions using his/her gifts and thus, to join the Fellowship as a member.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 15 years with at least 5 years in a senior relevant management role demonstrating capabilities required by key functions.
  • Knowledge/training/background and experience must include linking service-oriented architectures and event-driven architectures that are scalable, high performing, secure and distributable.
  • Broad knowledge of various aspects of software, hardware, networking, communication capabilities, applications and solution options including outsourcing and remote operations. Personal hands-on experience and track record of being highly practical and creative in bringing appropriate solutions into highly cost-effective user-friendly implementation under diverse, global, pioneering and resource-tight environment.
  • Mature born-again Christian, interested in and has shown willingness to participate actively in cross-cultural Christian mission who is willing and positive about working as part of a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural team from a wide range of personal backgrounds.

6. Internal Communications Coordinator

· The Internal Communications Coordinator furthers the accomplishment of OMF International’s vision and mission by facilitating effective communication within the OMF International community.

· Responsible for the strategic development and effective management of OMF’s internal communications.

· Facilitates the production of a number of communication tools dedicated to informing the Fellowship of new developments and key concerns.
