Cambodia IPS Software Development Centre
The team made their first significant SAP release, the first in the history of Cambodia in November 2008. This center currently consists of 6 Cambodian IT professionals who are being trained up to support and deliver enhancements to the solutions. The strategic value for OMF is that it is a low cost center for delivery whilst being aligned to the mission of OMF. It helps the IT team to stay relevant to what OMF is doing. SAP IT professionals are needed both short and long term to invest in these people both technically and spiritually.
IPS Project Summary
This project is progressing well with the first phase largely completed. This includes traditional personnel administration and organization management. It also includes custom applications such as medical administration and home assignment administration. The goal of this initiative is to enable OMF to best manage its most important resource to serve God in the most effective manner.
The next phase for which a prototype is now working is an eRecruitment solution. This will help mobilizers and candidate coordinators support the Call to Prayer for 900 by improving the administration of bringing people on-board into OMF. The need is to upgrade the solution to enhancement pack 4 and customize for the Mobilization team specific requirements.
The final phase is an eLearning solution and the goal for this is to help facilitate the Member Development initiatives as the organization grows. The Member Development team can only do so much training each year of the members due to team size and travel costs. The hope is to build eLearning material that can increase the amount of training performed so that as the organization grows the rich learning of OMF over many years is not lost.
This project will deliver a single solution to 26 countries and about 2500 users.
