Mobilize
Not everyone has the time and resources to serve God cross-culturally. This does not mean, however, that serving God in mission is limited to those who can. The workers are plentiful but the workers are few even where you are. Bridge Asia is the volunteer program of OMF. There are opportunities right now and right where you are.
If you like presenting and sharing about the needs of East Asia’s people in order to mobilize prayer, people and finance for the kingdom becoming a ministry advocate is one option. You will be involved in sharing with groups, churches, and individuals, you can educate and bring awareness to the great needs of East Asia’s peoples wherever you go.
You can also be a prayer leader if you believe that prayer should be the burden of God’s people. By leading a prayer group in your church or community, you have the honor of mobilizing prayer warriors who will stand in the gap for the unreached, missionaries, nations and leaders of East Asia.
We at PHC also need special event coordinators who love hosting events and sharing the love of Christ by providing an environment for learning as well as a place in which the Holy Spirit can move. You will be working with a team of volunteers and OMF staff to orchestrate, plan and execute events in your community that are designed to mobilize workers, prayer, finance, volunteers and more.
Becoming a people group advocate is also another means of serving particularly if you have a burden for a particular people group. You can help speak on their behalf to churches, groups and individuals. Your presentations and ministry will educate others on the needs of these peoples as well as mobilize prayer, finance, partnerships and workers.
There are also opportunities to be an outreach volunteer locally where you are. OMF has a Philippine Field Side and has various ministries around the country where you can use time and skills to help missionaries serving in the country.
PHC also needs office volunteers who can help now and then in fulfilling all the home side responsibilities. We need people who are willing to volunteer their hands and feet in administrative and mobilization work. There’s always something to do in PHC and we welcome anyone with a heart to serve.
