More on how to support Filipino OMF workers ...

God calls some Filipino Christians to live and work cross-culturally to build the Church in East Asia. For over 140 years OMF has helped churches worldwide send thousands of workers into purposeful cross-cultural ministry.

We believe God calls all Filipino Christians to be involved in different ways for the expansion of His Kingdom in East Asia. OMF partners with Filipino churches and individuals who share these convictions and provides opportunities to place, pray for and support those sent in mission whose focus is on the peoples of East Asia.

Praying and Proving

Along with prayer, finance is one of the vital resources needed to sustain our workers in ministry. For OMF, faith and finance are inseparable. As a faith mission, we believe God is able to supply the money we need through his people, and we pray daily for this provision.

We have proved God’s faithfulness for over 140 years. We only share our financial needs with supporters when asked to do so.

Being a faith-based mission, no member is authorized to make ap peals on their own behalf or on behalf of the Fellowship. We trust in God solely and never go into debt.

However, if requested, we are more than happy to provide information on the financial needs and support levels of members as well as information on the financial support of the Philippine Home Council of OMF (PHC).

We regularly feature PHC’s financial report on our quarterly bulletin: East Asia’s Billions to show God’s faithfulness and to keep ourselves accountable to our partners and supporters. Financial reports are audited annually and copies of these are also available upon request.

The Needs of an OMF Worker

Every OMF worker is given a figure which shows the cost of keeping them in their ministry. The amount varies considerably from person to person depending on their family circumstances and the country or ministry they’re involved in. It breaks down roughly like this:

  • Ministry costs provides for language learning, ministry tools, training, medical care, travel, children’s education, etc.
  • Personal living costs cover accommodation, food, clothes, recreation, etc.
  • Support costs contributes towards the costs of OMF’s overall ministry and administration (recruiting new workers, producing resources for promoting OMF and East Asia, home and international office support, etc.).
