OMF Members

OMF Members: n. members are long-term servers with OMF (more than three years) and are fully integrated into the fellowship v. sharing Jesus, learning the language and living life, sharing fully in the rights and responsibilities of belonging to OMF International.

Where would I go?

This depends on the needs of the field, but we do take into consideration your preferences and ultimately try and place you where God wants you.

What would I do?

Your skills, talents and training play an important part in your placement, the needs of the field are considered too.

How long would I go for?

As a member, you will be on the mission field for at least three years.

How do I qualify as a Member?

• You will go through a full selection process, which sounds painful, but be encouraged – OMF will be seeking God’s will as your application is considered.

Do I need a medical clearance?

• Yes, guidelines for medical clearances will be given to you when the time arises.

What sort of training will there be?

• Members go through the full preparation process, which includes the following…
• New workers introductory course
• IHQ (international headquarters) orientation course
• Field language, orientation and training course

Are my finances tied up with OMF?

• The short answer is ‘yes’ – Members are fully integrated into OMF’s international financial system.
