OMF-Japan welcomes short-term workers who are able to serve up to 12 months as part of our Serve Asia program. Due to the nature of our ministry in Japan, we do not recommend a time period of less than two monthes, unless a person is coming to help with a specific project or as part of a team.

We have missionary teams in various locations in Tokyo, Sendai, Aomori and Hokkaido. We seek to place short-term workers in these locations according to their gifts, abilities, experience and preferences.

MINISTRY ASSISTANTS WANTED!

In most cases the worker will serve as a 'ministry assistant'. The worker will use their gifts and energies to augment the ongoing work of the missionaries or Japanese church. This may involve outreach to kids, students, 'housewives', men, etc.

There are unlimited ways to make contacts with Japanese and to build bridges to the church. Some examples are: music, drama, sports, hobbies (e.g. computers), English classes, craft/cooking classes, tract distribution, etc.

OTHER OPENINGS

We have urgent needs for administrative roles at our Japan Headquarters in Tokyo and our Hokkaido Center in Sapporo.

We have openings for those able to teach conversational English as a means of providing a service to the community and making friends for Christ at the same time!
