The Youth-Focus Ministry is part of the Gospel-Church Tokyo. Its main purpose is to reach young adults in the Tokyo area for Christ. We do this by going to the places where the young people are, e.g. parks and shopping streets and places where young people just hang out. We also want to work towards the point where we will be able to help young people who have shut themselves out from society, or have problems with finding jobs. There are all kinds of social needs among young people.
Youth ministry has to become more and more a main focus for churches in order to have a future. YouFo’s heart is to become a multiplying ministry not just of one church, but of other churches as well.

YouFo’s vision is to: – Seek – Win – Build - Send

The “Seeking” and “Winning” elements focus on encouraging young Christians to build friendships with young non-Christians and lead them to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
The “Building” and “Sending” elements encourage new and young Christians to walk together, discover God’s perspective on their lives and be equipped to live out their faith in their practical live and in- and outside the church.
The number of Christians in Japan is extremely small and many of the existing churches are either irrelevant or unable to relate to youth. New approaches need to be found to call the younger generation into the Kingdom of God.
