The project supports the purchase and renovation of a three-story building in Sapporo to be used as a Guest Home. The third floor is occupied by the Guest Home Manager. The first and second floors are being used to house short- to medium-term visitors to Sapporo and short-term language students at the Japanese Language Center. In particular, the Sapporo Guest Home is providing accommodation for Short-termers on the Japan Field and members desiring language refresher courses.

The purpose of this project is to provide a means for interested supporters to directly support the establishment of an OMF Guest Home in Sapporo

For years there has been a felt need for a Guest Home in proximity to the Hokkaido Center. Reasons for this were:
(a) More members, associates and short-term teams coming to Hokkaido.
(b) More workers from regional centers needing temporary accommodation while in Sapporo.
(c) More youth evangelism, which will mean more short term teams requiring accommodation.
(d) The need to care for workers transitioning to and from the field and workers traveling within Japan.
(e) The need to reduce the difficulty in obtaining and high cost of temporary accommodation currently being sustained by the mission.
