Prayer Point

People Groups of China

China has 56 different people groups, according to its government. However, these subdivide into many other groups, so that books such as Operation China list over 400 different ethnicities. On these pages, we introduce some of these groups to you.

  • Zhuang The largest, but one of the least known, minorities of China.
  • Tibetans In all the world, there is no other place like Tibet.
  • Hui The people group who are also known as Chinese Muslims
