Teams for 2009

As well as the teams listed below, there will be relief and reconstruction teams to Sichuan to help the Chinese government. We are particularly looking for engineers, counsellors (knowledge of Mandarin very useful), rehab professionals (PT and OT), primary teachers (with fluent Mandarin). Business in China Team

• Dates: TBC
• Purpose: to visit Small and Medium Enterprises in China with a view to getting a greater understanding of how to combine business with a God-glorifying and Kingdom-building lifestyle. The trip is divided into two weeks. Week 1 in a busy metropolis, Week 2 in a more provincial location
• Team Size: Up to 12
• Requirements: This trip is designed for those who are involved in business somehow and want to learn more about God’s Business in China.

English Corner Team

• Dates: April (two weeks)
• Purpose: to build relationships through English conversation lessons - formal and informal. Working with minority people groups in the South West of China
• Team Size: up to 8
• Requirements: Some teaching experience is useful but not essential.

Teacher Training Teams

• Dates: July and August (4 weeks)
• Purpose: To provide professional expertise in remoter areas of China, especially to help practising English teacher with their pronunciation and listening ability, and to give cultural insight.
• Team size: up to 12
• Requirements: the team must have some qualified teachers

As well as these centrally organised trips, it may be possible to take a team from your church or Christian Union on a vision trip, and to serve. For example, we have been invited by a rural hospital to visit for a couple of weeks to brighten up their paediatric ward with colourful paintings. Other opportunities may come up.
