    Less than 0.3% of the working class in Taiwan are reached with the gospel of Christ despite the fact that the working class are the majority of the population (60-70%) of Taiwan.

    Religion in Taiwan is very complex. Most people should probably be defined as followers of traditional Chinese folk religion, rather than as Buddhists. However, Buddhism still plays a very important role in Taiwan. Buddhism, and people's identification of themselves as "Buddhist" remains a significant challenge to Christian evangelism in Taiwan.
