We send short-term workers to East Asia throughout the year in a variety of ways. All placement types below may be from 2 weeks to eleven months long.

Placement Categories:

National Teams Join one of our teams of 4-15 people - Teams are made up of applicants from all over the US and attend orientation & debriefing in the US. Most of these teams are in the summer. ( Click here for current opportunities.)

Partnership Teams Create a team. Groups of 4-12 people from a church or school prepare and go on a trip together. Structure the trip around a ministry focus or other specific need. Get started with the Partnership team questionnaire...

Individual Placements Go on your own! For those considering long-term cross-cultural work; to experience daily missionary life; to explore a specific country or ministry and seek God’s guidance for the future.

Serve Asia Leaders Make a commitment to be a "missions mentor" to partner with OMF staff in preparing Serve Asia teams. This is a great opportunity for those in the US who have a heart for missions and will walk alongside others as they prepare to go overseas, work together and continue to integrate their training into life at home.
