Three ways to go with OMF:
- Serve Asia Program: 2 weeks to 6 months; many during summers, including vision trips
- Associate Program: 1 to 3 years
- Long-Term Program: 3 years or longer
It is the first word of the Great Commission in Matthew 28:18-20: “Go …” Two billion people live in East Asia. It is the least-evangelized place on earth. Idols of Buddhism, atheism, Islam and materialism hold sway. How will these be reached with the gospel?
By people going. Jesus told his disciples in Luke 10:2, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest fields.” More workers are needed in East Asia.
Are you one of the 900?
In September 2006, the international leadership of OMF International issued a call for 900 new workers by the year 2011. It is a step of faith, but one that is needed to accomplish our vision of seeing “indigenous, biblical church movements in each people group of East Asia.” Are you feeling called to East Asia? Go.
