Serve Asia Debriefing: Upon return to Canada

Particulars: We need people who are committed to praying for the nations of South East Asia from their homes and churches right here in Canada. We also need people who are willing to take a step of faith, go overseas and pray on-site with insight in the midst of what God is doing. We believe that prayer works miracles – including the miracle of God's word reaching into the darkest of spiritual environments.

Setting: This team focuses on reaching the unreached peoples of South East Asia. Mountain tribes and villages where others have not ventured and communities that have not yet heard the true full Gospel of Jesus Christ. Perhaps you will get the opportunity to witness to a local from an unreached tribe during a prayer walk. Prayer warriors are essential on this team.

Method: You will depart for Bangkok, Thailand following your Serve Asia Training. You will spend time in orientation to language and culture with the rest of your team. Then you will depart with your team for the prayer journey in Laos and Vietnam.

Debrief: The Serve Alumni Retreat will explore your personal experience in Mekong as well as give you the opportunity to share with others who have returned from similar encounters during their time with Serve Asia. Upon your immediate return to Canada you should plan to spend a couple of days in personal reflection. You will receive helpful material to guide you through the reentry process. Hopefully, all this is just the beginning to the adventures God has for you in years to come.

Requirements: This is not for the faint of heart. Strong initiative and flexibility is a must. Complete all the Serve Asia Application prerequisites. Meet the financial commitments of the program prior to departure. Attend and fulfill the requirements of Serve Asia Training and Debrief as part of this experience. Must work well in a team environment.

Estimated Cost: $3500CAD; this cost covers international airfare from Toronto to Bangkok, international visas, on-field travel expenses, accommodation and living allowance while in Asia, plus the Serve Asia training, orientation and debriefing. Immunizations, domestic travel to and from the training in Toronto and any other costs should be covered by the Serve Asia worker personally. The cost quoted is estimated and may change due to flight prices at the time of your mission trip.
