Since 2004, two members have been involved with the soksabbaai project.
What is soksabbaai?
soksabbaai is a commonly used Cambodian greeting, meaning good health and happiness. soksabbaai is also a hands on training & income generating project of OMF international, that seeks to equip Cambodians to run a small tailoring business. soksabbaai is also the name of a collection of tasteful high quality clothes for young children (aged 1-9 years).
Why soksabbaai?
Cambodia is a country that has a history of war and oppression. Still bearing the scars of the past, the Cambodian people are longing for a better future. But how can they bring about change? It's a process that takes time. Work plays a vital role in this process. Work means income. Income means access to healthcare and schooling. Income creates stability in the family as well as in the local community. And when communities change, society changes. soksabbaai seeks to make a small but meaningful contribution to that end.
