Pray

James O. Fraser's life was marked by a persistent desire to grow in his relationship with God through prayer. He also called others to prayer and the result was God's powerful intervening in the lives of "heathen" Lisu as they came to the Lord in droves.

"'I really believe that if every particle of prayer put up by the home churches on behalf of the infant churches of the mission field were removed, the latter would be swamped by an incoming flood of the powers of darkness,' he [James O. Fraser] wrote. This could be seen in church history -- churches losing their power and life, becoming empty names, or else flickering out altogether. Just as a plant could die for lack of water, so could a genuine work of God die for lack of prayer." Mountain Rain , Eileen Fraser Crossman

In the ongoing work of the kingdom of God, nothing is more important than intercessory prayer (Richard Foster). Interceding, or talking to God about the needs of other people, is a vital activity to growing God's church. Commit to praying for a specific missionary, ministry, or people group (2 Thess. 3:1).

Prayer is one way to become more involved in God's working in the world.
