English Teacher Training (3-4 weeks, Nov-Dec 2010) , Thailand

  • Help with seminar for Thai teachers.
  • No preparation needed.
  • Teaching experience of any kind is helpful.
  • Also assist in preparations for Christmas programs and outreach to schools

STEP 2010 (Nov 29 to Dec 23, 2010) , East Asia

STEP is a Short Term Educational Program. The Australian team (maximum 10) will travel together to East Asia. However individuals may choose to extend their travel on their own (at extra cost).

  • Find out what it is like to serve as a longtermer.
  • Teach English to children in a primary village school.
  • Reach out to the community & families through drama.
  • Teach conversational English & build relationships with students.
  • Throw Christmas parties and run fun activities with children at a community centre.
  • Meet & encourage long-termers.

Accommodation

  • Billet with long-termers or simple hotel accommodation on a university campus.

Cost

  • $75 application fee
  • approximately $1100 for accommodation; transport; food.
  • Airfare, vaccinations, travel insurance;
  • personal spending money—extra.

Go Cambodia (Nov 29 - Dec 19, 2010) , Cambodia

Come with us for a 3-week adventure, serving God & reaching out to the Cambodians.

  • Teaching English to children & youth.
  • Running Christmas parties.
  • Sharing skills in cooking/sewing and primary care visiting those in prison.

Cost

  • $75 Application Fee
  • Approximately $550 for local transport, food, accommodation.
