China: General

Children's Work

• Interested in teaching English to children (preferably a qualified teacher or TESOL certified)
• Run an after-school club for 8-12 year olds
• Opportunities exist to include Biblical content in the club program

Cultural Experience/Language Study (up to 5 months)

• For anyone who would like a semester's cultural experience of language study
• Get to know and understand the area

Health Workers

• Doctors, nurses, OTs and PTs

Lecturers

• Give a set of lectures on your specialty at various universities

Medical Doctor - Ultrasonographer (2 weeks+ during March, June or October each year)

• Travel and work with a small but experienced team
• Scan and treat people with Hydatidosis
• Help run general health clinics with basic health and hygiene instruction

New Project Centre

• Contractor/architect/interior designer for 3 months to design and renovate a facility into a family centre
• Counsellors to work with families on parenting classes, pre-marriage classes, dating classes, conflict resolution, anger management, educational counselling etc.
• Teacher trainers needed from 2 weeks - 2 months at a time, preferably with a Masters or substantial teaching experience
• Web Developer for up to 3 months to work on basic website construction and developing resources

Work at the Jianzha Lian Xin Cultural Resource Centre in Qinghai for 1 – 6 months. China: Qinghai

• Run programs for library members eg story times for children, English conversation, crafts, art, sports, computers. Help with the day to day running of the library eg prepare new books for circulation. Share what you believe with the people who come to use the library. Study Mandarin or Tibetan.
