Student Work among Urban/Rural Thai

  • Work in connection with a church in a rural setting, doing friendship evangelism and discipleship
  • May be working with students at university, teachers college, vocational college or high schools, integrating them into the church
  • At least 1 year of Bible College or equivalent required, 1-2 years church work desirable - people with personal evangelism and cell group skills an asset

Thailand: Professional Service

English Teachers

  • Teach English at schools, universities or colleges to students, undergrads and grads, doctors, teachers and others pursuing professional qualifications
  • There are tremendous opportunities to impact lives through friendships and practical expressions of Christian living
  • Teaching experience preferred, also specifically Business English and Medical English teachers needed

Social Worker/Women's Ministry

  • Set up and manager a ministry to Thai women who have become pregnant and need care, especially teenage girls
  • Work together with Thai staff to develop a shelter where care, support and counselling is given together with Christian teaching from the Bible
  • Workers should have education and experience in social work or nursing; some management skills and Bible teaching experience an asset

Thailand: Support Ministries

Boarding Home Parents

  • Provide a home for elementary, middle and high school aged children who are living away from home in a major city in order to successfully complete their schooling
  • You are expected to give a lead in the development of the children and assist them as needed with homework/assignments, communicate regularly with parents, liase with the schools and oversee domestic staff in the home
  • At times a helper will work alongside you

Homeschool Teachers

  • Home school itinerant teachers or one class multi-grade teachers are needed to assist families who live away from cities and have limited schooling options
  • Help parents with teaching skills, work requirements and schooling needs and also enable parents to focus on their own service
  • People with teaching skills and experience needed

Medical Advisors

  • Responsibility for and oversight of the overall health care of OMF members on the field:
    • Regular medical examinations of the team and their families in line with OMF requirements
    • Available for consultations as needed
    • Keeping all medical records
    • Coordinating consultations with local doctors, treatments, hospitalisation and recuperation
    • Liasing with and advising as necessary the Field Director, Medical Advisors in Singapore and home countries
  • Counselling and wholistic support, encouraging and getting alongside individuals and families are strategic aspects of this ministry
  • Medical doctor with General/Family Practice and Paediatric experience preferable

Teachers for International Schools

  • There is a need for teachers for all grades from Kindergarten - Year 12 in all subjects
  • You will be contributing to the quality of the teaching and Christian witness on the school campus
  • Candidates need to be suitably qualified and experienced to teach at the agreed academic level - details of curriculum, teaching arrangements, facilities etc. supplied on request
