English Teachers

  • Teach English at schools, universities or colleges to students, undergrads and grads, doctors, teachers and others pursuing professional qualifications
  • There are tremendous opportunities to impact lives through friendships and practical expressions of Christian living
  • Teaching experience preferred, also specifically Business English and Medical English teachers needed

Financial Accountant/Bookkeeper

  • Primary role is office administration with most time spent on maintaining the financial accountability or a specific project site and office of the organisation
  • Some opportunity to be involved in field work
  • Individual should have a thorough working knowledge of spreadsheet software programs and accounting software programs

Medical Doctors, Nurses, Health Workers

  • Help with health education and also as community doctors/nurses in
    • college/university hospitals
    • public health schools
    • county hospitals
    • community health stations
  • Need to have MD with Family Practitioner, Registered nurse with respective speciality training (MCH and pediatrics) or other (PT, OT), at least 5 years work experience, preferably with community/public health training
  • Full time language study needed

Orphans/Street Children Workers

  • Work with orphans and street children, many of whom suffer from sheer poverty or victims of AIDS
  • Various national and international organisations are working with them to show them love and to give them a home and education
  • A love and burden for children, recognised qualifications and practical experience in child welfare or primary school teaching needed

Mekong: Support Ministries

Business Managers

  • Responsibilities cover the main areas of financial management for the OMF Field team, including
    • Banking, accounts, cash payments etc
    • Dealings with government officials (permissions and visa extensions)
    • Travel (local and international, freight arrangements for missionaries + secondary issues such as building rentals etc)
  • May be some spiritual ministry outside of the professional duties
  • Experience and competence in the areas of finance and administration essential

Homeschool Teachers

  • Home school itinerant teachers or one class multi-grade teachers are needed to assist families who live away from cities and have limited schooling options
  • Help parents with teaching skills, work requirements and schooling needs and also enable parents to focus on their own service
  • People with teaching skills and experience needed

IT Manager

  • Maintain and upgrade computer and server equipment in the Mekong office, as well as the website and provide advice and assist Strategy Coordinators and team members cpncerning IT equipment
  • Need practical skills and experience and flexibility to balance theoretical and technical expertise with the realities of available infrastructure and equipment
  • Also need people skills and patience to cope with members with very different skill levels and working in very varied conditions

Medical Advisors

  • Responsibility for and oversight of the overall health care of OMF members on the field:
    • Regular medical examinations of the team and their families in line with OMF requirements
    • Available for consultations as needed
    • Keeping all medical records
    • Coordinating consultations with local doctors, treatments, hospitalisation and recuperation
    • Liasing with and advising as necessary the Field Director, Medical Advisors in Singapore and home countries
  • Counselling and wholistic support, encouraging and getting alongside individuals and families are strategic aspects of this ministry
  • Medical doctor with General/Family Practice and Paediatric experience preferable
