Our Story
Hudson Taylor first took a team of “skilful, willing workers” to China in 1866. Since then, our distinctive purpose, first as the China Inland Mission and now as OMF International (Overseas Missionary Fellowship), has been to glorify God by reaching the billions of people in East Asia. Today we are a diverse fellowship of 1,300 Christians from 30 nationalities proclaiming the glory of Jesus Christ among East Asia’s peoples.
Continuing in Taylor’s pioneering risk-taking ways, we use a wide variety of creative approaches to share the gospel with a human touc h among East Asia’s unreached peoples. We pray and we mobilise prayer. We learn and respect the language and culture of the people so that we may “become Christ” in that place. We persevere until our mission is accomplished and our vision realised!
