What took you so long?
A prayer team was taken into an area of the Mekong region, where the majority of the people are Hmong. The terrain is very rough there, and it is very difficult to grow food. Often times the ground is more rock than dirt. The prayer team walked through a Hmong village and found a group of people sitting around talking. They went up and had a little chat with them.

Emerging church under the tree
Every Sunday, Randy and Janet load their bicycles with plastic chairs and an electronic keyboard; and with song books on their backs they cycle to the low-income housing estate in Taipei. They sit on the street corner under a big tree with people they have met there and begin singing praise songs to God in Taiwanese.
Events
- NSW - Half Day of Prayer - 10am, Fri JUL 23 - OMF looks to see all peoples of East Asia brought to know Jesus. We know that this can only be achieved through a reliance on prayer and God's enabling. Join us for this half day of prayer as we intercede for those yet to hear the good news. The event will be followed by a BYO lunch.
- SA - Exploring Missions - 7pm, Thurs JUL 29 - This evening is for young people who are passionate about mission. It will be a great opportunity to chat with others about mission possibilities. OMF National Director, will be our special guest speaker, focusing on restricted access countries and unreached people groups. Going where missionaries cannot go.
- NSW - Target Asia, 9am, Sat AUG 7 - Come and hear field updates from our recently returned workers and those preparing to head out. Join us in worshiping God and praying for his work in East Asia. We will also have a select range of books for sale from our book store. The event will be followed by lunch.
- VIC - Target Asia - 9.30am, Sat AUG 7 - Come and hear what God is doing in Asia and join us in prayer. Please bring a small plate of morning tea. Light lunch available $4 donation. Please RSVP for the lunch if possible. We will be hearing from recently returned Mekong field workers, who will be sharing about their work amongst Burmese people in Thailand. We will also be hearing from a family who are preparing to leave to work at a Bible College in Northern Thailand.
- SA - Asia Focus - 2pm, Sat JUL 31 - Our National Director will be with us for this meeting. This will be a very special occasion as it will be the last time the Ma's will be joining us as National Director.
